Welcome to Skye Tales: Comfort, Nurturing, and Playfulness at heart

With all the stress that comes with studying at University, our founders went looking for games that aren’t as demanding or stress-inducing to pass their free time. In their search for relaxing games, they found there weren’t as many truly relaxing games as expected and that’s how Skye Tales came to be!

The game’s design philosophy revolves around three key principles: comfort, nurturing, and playfulness. These principles ensure the game is a safe haven for players who want to escape from the stress of everyday life. So let’s talk a bit more about those principles.

We wanted our players to feel comforted and supported. That’s why there are no hard failure states, permanent damage to the player or the world, and no skill-locked main progression. So feel free to smash those pumpkins as many times as you want, they’ll always regenerate. Our aim for the game is to provide a sense of relief, allowing the player to relax and explore the world around them.

We wanted you to feel like you’re able to make a positive impact on the world, and have that contribution recognized and celebrated. This is why Skye Tales offers a supportive environment where players can grow and develop at their own pace. The world is full of opportunities for you to help out your friends and discover new things.

Around every corner is an opportunity for play, with no judgment if you decide to spend your time popping bubbles for half an hour. The game offers a carefree environment where the player can explore and experiment without fear of failure. There is no wrong way to play Skye Tales – it’s just happy you’ve stopped by. If you want to spend your time simply dashing through dandelions or splashing in the sea, you’re welcome to do so.

Skye Tales appeals to players of all ages, offering a unique and gentle puzzle experience. We’re happy to say that players have reported feeling less stressed and more relaxed after playing. It’s a reminder that games can be a source of mindfulness and relaxation. Take your time, enjoy the world of Skye Tales, and don’t forget to stop and smell the flowers.
